Jason PimblettJason Pimblett - Musical Director
Jason studied voice and piano at the Welsh College of Music and Drama, where he won the Most Distinctive Vocal Student award two years running. He sang the title role in Britten's Albert Herring, Emperor Nero in Monteverdi's The Coronation of Poppea, and Basilio in Mozart's The Marriage of Figaro. On graduating with distinction, Jason joined the chorus of Opera North, with whom he sang for three seasons, before touring with the D'Oyly Carte Opera Company for a further three years. He then sang in Germany for the Krefeld and Monchengladbach City Opera Houses for two seasons. On returning to the UK he taught singing at the Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts in the Barbican, and has since taught throughout the UK. He appeared in the US premiere of Ivor Novello's The Dancing Years, and was then invited to give a series of master classes at the University of South Carolina.
Jason is now resident in Brighton and teaches singing privately.
