Golden Handbag Awards 2008

Sunday 23 Jan saw the chorus returning for a second year to the Golden Handbag Awards. This was a special occasion as we took to the stage with the City Of Brighton Gay Men's Chorus.

The Aquarium hosted a fundraising show for the Chorus with Dame Margot Hamilton. This brief appearence before our peformance at the golden handbags was great fun and raised over £100 - £50 of that from the pub! Thank you guys!

Friday 21st December 2007

Our Christmas Show, 'Twas The Night Before Chirstmas' was a great success, raising £357 for Charitiy. £200 to Lorica St Patrick's, who run the homeless Night Shelter, and £157 to the Friends of St Andrew's.

Thursday 13th December 2007

St James St late night shopping - the chorus will be carol singing at various venues including: The Amsterdam @7pm, The Tin Drum @8pm and 8.30pm, the Zone @ about 8.50pm and then the Bulldog.

Friday 7 December 2007
In a unique event the Chorus sang at the Foreign Office in London at a special Christmas celebration on Friday 7 December.

We sung in the historic India Office Council Chamber in the Foreign Office - at an event hosted by The Foreign Office’s Lesbian and Gay group (FLAGG) and the Civil Service Rainbow Alliance.

The Chorus was proud to have been invited to take part in this event which is close to everyone's hearts at the Chapel Royal, Brighton.

WhipCrackAway! was a huge success - We were able to give £500 to charity (Open Door and The Friends of St Andrew's). You can see more pix of the show here.
